From the Family
Our parents moved to 351 Long Cove Drive in 2013 and began a truly special chapter of their lives here. Before they moved to St. Louis to be closer to family, this home was a place of joy, peace, and togetherness for all of us.
Golf was an important part of life here, and we will always treasure the unforgettable rounds with Dad and his Long Cove friends, followed by time spent back at the house and enjoying the beauty and tranquility that surround this home.
From quiet mornings to evenings dining at the Club while listening to Mom’s many stories, this home and community gave us memories we will cherish forever. It is our sincere hope that the next owners of 351 Long Cove will experience the same happiness and create special memories of their own.

The Golf Course
A Pete Dye Masterpiece
Pete Dye created 18 strategically strong holes with no weak spots. But what made the course truly special to Dye was its quiet beauty...the lagoons, live oaks, and natural movement of the terrain that define Hilton Head's Lowcountry landscape.
Dye made a deliberate effort to let the scenery lead, not the architecture. He didn’t want golfers to feel like they were playing something manufactured. He wanted them to feel immersed in the Lowcountry — where each hole flows organically through the landscape rather than being imposed on it.
Unlike some of his more visually intimidating designs, Dye avoided visual clutter at Long Cove. There are no forced theatrics. Instead, the beauty reveals itself gradually — through reflections off the lagoons, subtle green settings, and the way each hole fits into its surroundings.
Many architects and pros consider Long Cove one of Dye's purest designs because it reflects both sides of his genius: the strategic thinker and the artist. It challenges your mind, but it also gives you moments where you stop and simply take in where you are. That balance — between strategy and beauty — is a big part of why Dye himself held Long Cove in such high regard.
